Award-winning and internationally-published author Ted Kluck, has begun work on a new boxing book that will feature Lansing-area pro heavyweight Sam Comming. Comming has fought in New York, Lousiana, and Canada and has ten pro fights on his ring record. He is 6'3" 240 lbs. and is working diligently to prepare himself for a comeback fight in early 2012.
Kluck wrote "Facing Tyson: Fifteen Fighters, Fifteen Stories" (Lyons Press, 2006) which was published domestically and internationally (Mainstream Publishing, 2007). Gut Check Press released an audio version of the book in 2010.
"Sam is the consumate professional, and is a real old-school fighter," says Kluck, who has been sparring with the heavyweight. "He trains hard and differentiates himself from other heavyweights by moving his head defensively and throwing punches from different angles in combinations. Sam is a conscientious kid who loves the sport and will put on a great show."
Comming, who was stopped on a controversial TKO in Louisiana, has never been knocked out as a professional.
